Research at the Population Studies Center is carried out by the center’s Research Associates and is ever evolving. Our research is funded by various federal government agencies (e.g., the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation), state governments, and private foundations. Funding is also provided for pilot projects by the annual Quartet Pilot Research Project Competition is jointly sponsored by the Pension Research Council (PRC) / Boettner Center for Pension Retirement Research, the Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics (CHIBE), the Population Aging Research Center (PARC), and the Population Studies Center (PSC). This competition promotes high quality and innovative research in demography, economics, and related social and behavioral sciences of one year (or less) in duration. Projects are selected through competitive peer review.

Several specific Research Projects are also housed in the PSC and some projects have their own websites.
